My name is Greg Popkes of East River Development. I am married to my lovely wife, Lori of 41 years. Together we have 7 daughters, 5 son in laws, and 14 grandchildren. I am a life long entrepreneur and enjoy working along with 3 of my daughters and 2 son in laws in our various businesses.
My Story
We have been developing in Rock Rapids for 25+ years. In the last 5 years alone, we have installed over 3,000 feet of road, water & sewer and have built 10 single family homes and 6 twin home units. During our time as a developer, we have developed:

Commercial Development along Highway 9: 18,400 sq foot shop & office to house my business, Popkes Car Care Inc. and an office building to house the local USDA office.
I, along with my family, was awarded the Northwest Iowa Development - Beyond Expectations Economic Development Support Award in September 2023.
Over the years we have enjoyed working with people and creating opportunities for people to live, work & stay in Rock Rapids.
